NEW DIRECTION AND RACES FOR 2019 THOMPSON BUCKS COUNTY CLASSIC
DOYLESTOWN, PA – May 15th, 2019 – The Thompson Bucks County Classic criterium returns to Doylestown, PA on September 8, 2019. Its 1.4-mile racecourse with 90-feet of climbing each lap is arguably one of the toughest of its kind in the country. This year’s race is part of USA Cycling’s prestigious Pro Road Tour calendar and features races for men and women as well as kid’s sprints, a bike parade, and BMX stunt show. With a course encircling the Doylestown Arts Festival and the streets of the Victorian neighborhoods lined with house parties, it is a day not to be missed.
The race enters its 16th year under the direction of Laura Reppert. Reppert began working in race promotion on the Reading120, a UCI road race that took place in Berks County in 2015 and 2016, and on the Thompson Bucks County Classic in 2016.

In addition to the pro races, Reppert is adding Category 3⁄4 races for men and women to this year’s lineup.
“New this year we’re adding Category 3⁄4 races for men and women on race day as well as expanding our series of community events to encourage cycling for all. Providing these opportunities aligns with our commitment to promote equality and is essential to the growth necessary for the success of the sport.”
